Hobo Johnson Puts On a Passionate Performance in Boston, MA

BY MADDIE MAY

On July 13th, 2024, Hobo Johnson put on a beautiful show at the House of Blues in Boston, MA. The show was the sixteenth out of thirty five on his most recent tour, “HJ Drinks”.

This was my third time seeing Hobo Johnson live and he never disappoints. Every show of his has been extremely fun while also being very intimate and personal. Frank does an outstanding job interacting with his audience throughout the entirety of his performance and keeps the audience engaged. Along with Hobo Johnson, Remo Drive and BabyJake accompanied him to open the show. This was my first time seeing Remo Drive and BabyJake live, and both performances were charming and the audience was very attentive. I was happy to finally catch Remo Drive as I’ve been wanting to see them live since I started listening to them back in 2018.

Hobo Johnson played a variety of songs from all of his albums, some including Romeo & Juliet, I Want a Dog, Anton Lavey, Flood the Earth Again, and the widely beloved song of his, Peach Scone. This concert was one of my favorites of this year so far and Hobo Johnson is one of the top artists I will always try to catch a show for each time he’s in my area.
