BY DANIELA MIRELES

With a mix of pop rock and soft indie sounds, This Is How Tomorrow Moves is Beabadoobee’s best work to date. With a nostalgic sweetness sound that can be found throughout the songs that honours the 90s aesthetic that Beabadoobee follows throughout her music. After opening The Eras Tour and touring her album “Beatopia” , the singer has become a household name in the indie pop industry.

Produced by Rick Rubin, this album contains different guitars, pianos, drums and many other versatile instruments that are perfectly layered against one another to be able to create an enjoyable experience for fans. With Beabadoobee’s angelic voice and raw lyrics, this album is definitely a highlight in the singer’s career. With tracks that are able to make you sad to dance around in your room, this album is able to transcend perfectly into the listener’s ears. Whether it's singing about finding herself through chaos, dealing with fame or just singing about a broken relationship, fans are able to relate to at least one song in the album, which makes this record special.

“Girl Song” describes the internal struggles of self doubt and low confidence someone may have. “Waking up to hardly recognize my own face / Just a stranger in the mirror, thinking / Oh what a shame, didn't think she'd look this way" / Don't look no different to how I looked yesterday.” Are lyrics that encapsulate the feeling of yearning for self-forgiveness, and the constant look out for self acceptance in one’s body.

“Beaches” is a song that talks about embracing vulnerability and the search for authenticity. The line "Don't wait for the tide just to dip both your feet in” encourages listeners to seize opportunities and create a journey to self-acceptance. With the opening line painting a picture of confusion to the last line creating an imaginary of self acceptance, this song takes us through a personal journey from the singer that people can relate to.

This album has the perfect variety of instruments that are mixed to perfection with the singer’s raw and emotional vocals, taking us through personal journeys and inspiring us to become better versions of ourselves. Beabadoobee has released an album that will solidify her discography.
