PASSION PIT AT WARSAW
BY T’CIA LEWIS
On 5/31 Passion Pit hit the stage at Warsaw in Brooklyn, NY for a jam-packed night. The sold out show was filled with enthusiastic fans gathering to see Michael Angelakos rush the stage with excitement.
The show opens with Matt Smith’s Nervous System, a small band based in Upstate New York. This would be one of the two shows that they would open for Passion Pit. When Passion Pit hit the stage, the energy was high. Hits consisting of “Take a Walk” and “The Reeling” were used as the opener causing roars from fans in the crowd. No lyric that night went unsung as Angelakos kept the energy high. Running from side to side, ‘throwing’ the mic at his fans, there was never a dull moment.
The show’s encore consisted of “Smile Upon Me,” “Cuddlefuddle,” and “Sleepyhead.” The crowd was packed by this point just to bask in awe of the community Passion Pit was able to create. Fans were buzzing by the end of the show, yearning for the next time Passion Pit comes back to Brooklyn.
