“CYAN BLUE” BY CHARLOTTE DAY WILSON TRACK REVIEW

Charlotte Day Wilson is a soulful singer from Toronto, with an impeccable ability to express her emotions, “Cyan Blue '' is an album of the singer reflecting on her personal growth, letting go and many other themes in her life that listeners are lucky to be able to listen to.

With soft melodies and vocals that are relaxing, Charlotte offers listeners an out of this world experience with this album. With tracks such as “Money” and “My Way” the singer fusions R&B, soul and jazz to exclude a sense of vulnerability and raw emotions, with her smooth voice, the opening tracks sets the mood with its ethereal instrumentation and strong lyrics, hinting at the singer’s journey on reinvention.

With themes of love, loss and resilience, fans are able to get a glimpse into the singer’s experiences and relate them to their own, with tracks such as “Last Call” , showcases her ability to confront problems and the emotional toll it takes a person to let go. This album makes Wilson’s artistry shine and show her uniqueness, allowing her voice to take the centre stage amidst the powerful instrumentation that are followed in the tracks, evoking an emotion that is impossible to ignore.
