You’re Going to Get to See All Our Favorite Artists at All Things Go: An Exciting Update!
BY LIZ BAUMMER
If you thought you were going to miss out just because you didn’t have ATG tickets well you’re in luck… ATG has announced that the DC installment of the festival will be livestreamed exclusively on Amazon Music! The stream will be available on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and Prime Video. I personally love that we are seeing more festivals lean into streaming their performances. I think it provides a certain level of accessibility for fans that would not be able to attend otherwise for various reasons including cost, travel, conflicts, etc. This will be the first year that fans around the world can experience ATG DC in real time right alongside us. I can’t wait to hear what fans have to say about this development after the weekend is over. Also, while typically ATG shows the opposite stage's performance on the empty stage and vice versa throughout the day, I will be really curious if fans will utilize this new livestream to watch performances they are not able to physically catch due to overlapping performances or camping out for a spot in the pit for another artist.
With this stream in mind, whether you’re in person or joining us virtually, here are several artists and key moments that I would absolutely not miss at this year’s ATG DC. Admittedly, this is a hard list to write because ATG does such a phenomenal job curating their lineup. I need cloning technology so Liz 1 can hang out at the Pavilion and Liz 2 can hang out at the Chrysalis lol! These are just some of the key moments I am most looking forward to. Keep an eye out for more to come this week with a breakdown of other artists the Out Jamz staff are jamming to at the moment, and who they are hoping to see at ATG.
First up: Molly Grace!
A smaller name on the lineup, I have been championing the idea of Molly Grace playing ATG for the last year, and I legitimately screamed when I saw her on the lineup! I covered her playing The Atlantis in DC on her last tour and her vibes are immaculate. An upbeat, queer pop princess - Molly Grace is everything ATG is all about. She is unapologetic in sharing her queerness and her journey of self discovery and catching tunes that will absolutely make you dance!
Paris Paloma
With ATG’s large female audience, I am unprepared for the damage that hearing Labour live is going to do to me at ATG DC. The idea of an entire crowd screaming those lyrics, makes me feel like I need to emotionally prepare for tears for her entire set.
Role Model
I am going to ask the most important question here: Who is going to be Sally?!?!?!? There’s so many good options on the lineup for that day that there simply isn’t a wrong choice. Maybe we’ll start a prediction poll over on the Out Jamz Instagram page and see how many people can guess right for his set!
Rachel Chinouriri
Last year, Rachel Chinouriri was unable to play ATG and had to leave the lineup in the weeks leading up to the festival. I am so excited that we are finally able to have her at ATG DC. It feels a bit like a proper homecoming after last year’s cancellation. I will definitely be catching her set.
Zinadelphia
I LOVE Zinadelphia, and I think she is vastly underrated! I captured her opening for TALK last year at The Atlantis in DC, and I have been a big fan of her music ever since. There’s something so jazzy about her music that I just feel it in my soul.
The Marías
The Marías set design is unmatched. I have somehow managed to miss them every! single! time! that they have been local to DC, and it has always made me sad. I am going for redemption this year, and I am so excited to finally see their insane production value with my own two eyes.
G Flip
G Flip is by far one of my favorite artists I have ever seen live. I covered them when they played the 9:30 Club in DC, and their cover of Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift is still one of my top 5 live performances I have ever witnessed. G Flip is also a ton of fun to watch perform. Dynamic and full of energy, they command the stage with the presence of a world superstar. I will also never get over their ability to sing and play the drums at the same time so perfectly… I swear they have the physical fitness of a professional athlete. I get winded just watching them.
Marina
I was obsessed with Marina back when Marina went by Marina and The Diamonds. The idea of finally seeing her live makes me feel like a 12 year old kid again listening to Electra Heart like my life depended on it lol.
Lola Young
I missed Lola Young’s set last year at ATG due to a scheduling conflict, and I have regretted that decision every day since. Honestly, that may have been one of the dumbest things I have ever done in my life… I will not be making that same mistake again even if it requires me to sprint across the venue to get there.
Doechii
I said it in my prediction article, and I will say it again… Doechii is taking over the world, and quite frankly I think we should all thank her. One of the headliners that Out Jamz correctly predicted in our lineup article, Doechii was one of the artists I was holding my breath to see on this lineup. I am also thrilled that she will be playing the Chrysalis stage because I feel like that perfectly fits her vibe and her production. The Chrysalis has such a unique vibe, and I’m so excited to see how Doechii perfectly molds that vibe into her set!
Finally: Kesha!
I largely considered Kesha to be the hail mary guess of our lineup predictions. I wanted it to happen so badly that I was afraid to put it into writing but HERE WE ARE!!!!! *throws confetti into the air* I have been listening to Kesha since I was in elementary school. In fact, I have a very vivid memory of being taught the lyrics to Tik Tok in 4th grade art class by one of my classmates… probably not the most school appropriate song to be learning at that age but I have no complaints!
There you have it! Those are just a few of the key moments I am hoping to catch at this year’s festival! Keep an eye out for a more indepth look at some of our favorite songs by our favorite artists that the Out Jamz’s staff is hoping we’ll hear at All Things Go DC this year. Less than a week to go!!!
