Trevor Hall and The Great In-Between with Yaima
BY SHOLOME
On October 1st, Trevor Hall and The Great In-Between, with opener Yaima, took the stage at Electric City in Buffalo. The night was filled with chill vibes and soothing tunes.
Yaima comprises multi-instrumentalist and producer Masaru Higasa and Vocalist Pepper Proud. Their music showcases instruments from all over the world, and their derivative music drives their listeners to renovative rhythms and unique electronic productions. They aim to create a bridge between Nature and Humankind, an expansive experience that encourages growth and graceful passage for the hearts and minds of their listeners (yaimamusic). They had the crowd vibing and dancing throughout their set, and put everyone in a great mood for Trevor Hall and The Great In-Between.
Trevor Hall and The Great In-Between bring a fresh and unique sound to the folk genre. When they took the stage, the energy in the room lifted, and the journey began with them at the helm. Trevor started his set with ‘Jagabeesha,’ which got everyone into a chill and excited vibe that carried the whole night. He then went into the songs ‘My Own’ and ‘Moon / Sun’. The aurora of the audience that night with the band was soul-hitting. Everyone was on different journeys but at the same time, present with everyone. It was a good night of the soul.
