SENSES AT THE BOWERY BALLROOM

BY T’CIA LEWIS

Senses took on the Bowery Ballroom and left the crowd invigorated. Senses is on tour with Charlotte Sands for her ‘Can We Start Over?’ world tour, and they did not come to play.

Senses is a queer, emo, rock, punk band hailing from Southern California. The band consists of Madison Taylor on vocals, Josh Bissell on guitar and Nick Sampson on drums. Immediately, when coming to the stage, they knew how to draw in the crowd. The crowd was engaged beyond words. They even went as far to hand the mic over to a fan during their cover of “Burnin’ Up” by the Jonas Brothers. The crowd was feeling nostalgic and energized after that. They played some of their original tracks “Novacane,” “Playing Dead,” and “Better Than This” which they have available on streaming platforms.

Overall, Senses is the band to see. They were an amazing opener for Charlotte Sands, and fit her style so well. Senses is a band of performers that know how to pull at the heart strings of their fans, while being able to pull in a new fan base at the same time.
