Reneé Rapp’s First Ever Australian Show
BY MACKENZIE TRELOARBrisbane was absolutely blessed on Tuesday night (27/01/2026) with being honoured to be the first ever Australian show for the one and only Reneé Rapp, and believe me when I say both Reneé and the crowd did NOT disappoint! The concert was held at Riverstage, located right on the Brisbane River in the city and was absolutely swarmed with eager fans ready to hear their favourite songs. The openers were Cat & Calmell who are an amazing duo who bring all the best vibes of the 2010s into today and they are definitely ones to watch !!! And then it was time for Reneé Rapp and her beyond incredible band! I cannot express how perfect this performance was from start to finish, the vocals were next level, the stage set up was gorgeous and the lighting was perfect ! Reneé also has the perfect mix of performance and crowd interactions with playing all the best songs AND including the fans in her show with a kiss cam during Kiss It Kiss It, getting down into the barricade and filming with her fans for Swim, and of course having a fan do Towa’s part in At Least I’m Hot. But we also cannot forget the joy it brought her to do the aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi chant with her first Australian crowd! Now this show was unreal and unbelievable for me (finally seeing her live after loving her since her broadway days ((yes i’m a theatre kid too)) this doesn’t feel like i have actually seen her) and every single other fan in that venue who has waited years for this! I do really hope we see Reneé back again soon but if you have the chance and opportunity I hope you all find yourself attending a Reneé Rapp concert!
