NOTD on TOUR NYC
BY LIAM GILLIN (HE/HIM)
From the Rolling Loud Festival to the Global Citizens Music Festival, this past Saturday was a day for music in the Big Apple. If you headed to the Lower East Side to the famous Bowery Ballroom, you would find yourself a sold out show. A music venue packed with fans from floor to floor eagerly waiting for NOTD.
NOTD (pronounced “noted”) is a Swedish dance production music duo consisting of members Tobi Danielsson and Sam Brandt. Accompanied by special guest Grey Zeigler, from start to finish the show was nothing but high energy. The energy was so ecstatic that the vibrations of the bass out of the speakers and the enthusiastic jumping of fans became one continuous noise.
Sam and Tobi spent their night on their guitars and bass jamming out to their hits such as “I Don't Know Why”, “So Close”, and their remix of “Beautiful People'' by Ed Sheeran ft. Khalid. NOTD as a musical duo has a chemistry that is hard to not recognize. Sam and Tobi throughout their performance were always able to match the energy of one another. The lighting of the show was also spectacular. The constant lighting changes not only made the concert more immersive but also enhanced the sound quality.
NOTD put on an immaculate performance this past Saturday in New York to end off the first half of their tour. Their upcoming shows include Dallas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and plenty more cities all around the continental United States. Tickets are limited so make sure you get them as soon as possible. This is a show not worth missing.
