Lime Cordiale Bring The Beats To The Beach

BY MACKENZIE TRELOAR

EVERYONE needs to experience a Lime Cordiale show in their lifetime. On Sunday the 27th of April Lime Cordiale brought their regional ‘The Love Is Off The Table’ tour to the sunny beaches of the Gold Coast, performing at Miami Marketta for a very packed and very excited crowd !!  This show had two amazing openers starting with the insanely talented Stella Bridie who gave an extraordinary performance to get the crowd warmed up. Stella is definitely on my list of ones to watch, we will definitely be hearing more from her very soon. Next up was Le Shiv, a true blue Aussie band that you can’t not love. Then it was time for the brothers to grace the stage, Oli and Louis, one of Australia's most loved bands, Lime Cordiale. They started their set with one of their hit songs Pedestal and continued playing hit after hit for a 75 minute set! The stage presence of this band is ALWAYS next level and they truly truly never disappoint. They of course also played their Triple J Like a Version cover of ‘I Touch Myself’ which always gets the crowds full of energy!! Oli and Louis also ended up in a boxing ‘fight’ where they both had the little boxing robes and started their choreographed fight. They ended their set with their song ‘inappropriate behaviour’ and each throwing a handful of their guitar picks into the crowd, as well as Louis jumping down to thank the crowd. I cannot stress enough how extraordinary Lime Cordiale truly are, and I will stand by my statement that EVERYONE needs to go to a Lime Cordiale show !!
