KAASH PAIGE SOLD OUT IN BROOKLYN NY
BY LIAM GILLIN (HE/HIM)
Kaash Paige performed at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, NY accompanied by Amari Noelle and MOSA for the Me VS Myself Tour. This was the first time I had covered a hip-hop/R&B show and had no idea what to expect. As I sat on the train, scrolling through Kaash Paige’s Instagram of previous shows I gathered that this was going to be a show of spontaneity and that anything goes. Baby’s All Right was filled from wall to wall; hundreds of people all together late into the night. She performed songs from past albums and her newest album S2ML that was released last year. Singles such as “All Girls Cry,” “Not Nice,” and her 2018 hit “Love Songs” had fans cheering, singing and dancing as one. If I could describe Kaash Paige’s concert in a three words it would be wild and sensual. The mood of the entire night was nothing but pure intimacy as she was able to put out a romantic vibe throughout the venue.
My favorite part of the entire show was when everyone was encouraged to put on their phone flashlights. Now this is common at a lot of concerts regardless of genre but there was something about how the lights glowed this time that made it different. I think it helped compliment the romantic vibe that Kaash Paige’s music was giving off the entire night. Hip-Hop/R&B shows have a way of bringing out the creative energy within not only the artist performing but within the people attending as well. If you have not checked out S2ML yet please do and make sure you stream Kaash Paige’s music especially if you love R&B/Hip-Hop.
