BY LIAM GILLIN (HE/HIM)

A double rainbow casted over Bowery Ballroom yesterday after Jesse Jo Stark fans eagerly waited in the pouring rain outside excited to see Jesse Jo Stark perform. As I waited on line and in the pit speaking to fans, they all said the same thing “Jesse is a star in the making.” They were enthusiastic to tell me all Jesse and what to expect. They spoke of her stage presence being graceful as she really knows how to use the entire stage to the best of her ability. One fan told me how she saw her six times and this show was her third time seeing her on The Doomed Tour; a tour celebrating her album “DOOMED.” She also made it known to me how grateful she was to be this close to Jesse this time around and she knows that one day Jesse will be in bigger venues and appreciates being a part of her rise to success as an artist.

Jesse Jo Stark took the stage at around 9:45 PM starting off the night casted in blue light that quickly shifted to red as she peformed songs such as “666 in the suburbs,” and “Cry on me.” If Jesse’s performance could be described as anything it would be that “slow and steady always wins the race.” She started the night off with slow ballads to hardcore alternative indie rock songs. The audience was in complete awe of her and reached out their hands to her at any second they could get. To end off the night, she brought out her guitar to sing “pussycat,” which left the whole crowd only wanting more.

Jesse Jo Stark's performance at the Bowery Ballroom was a shining example of her burgeoning star power and undeniable talent. Despite the challenging weather, her dedicated fans spoke fervently about her artistry and captivating stage presence, all envisioning a future filled with even larger venues and greater acclaim for this remarkable artist. Jesse's seamless transitions from haunting ballads to powerful indie rock anthems showcased her versatile range, leaving the audience craving an encore. It was marked by unwavering determination and a growing fan base eager to accompany her on her ascent to stardom. With each performance, Jesse solidifies her position as a dynamic force in the music industry, and we eagerly anticipate the extraordinary heights her career will undoubtedly reach.
