BLU DETIGER HEADLINES IRVING PLAZA

BY LIAM GILLIN

Blu DeTiger's electrifying performance at Irving Plaza on April 27, 2024, marked a triumphant return to her hometown as part of her "All I Ever Want is Tour." As a fan who had previously witnessed her headline at Webster Hall two years prior, I was thrilled to experience her captivating energy once again.

From the moment she took the stage, Blu DeTiger commanded the audience's attention with her unparalleled skills as a bassist and captivating stage presence. Opening with "Disappearing," she set the tone for a night filled with pulsating bass lines and irresistible grooves. The crowd erupted with excitement when she invited Linux to join her onstage for a dynamic rendition of "Expensive Money," igniting a frenzy of cheers and applause.

Throughout the set, Blu DeTiger effortlessly moved through her eclectic mix of tracks, seamlessly blending fan favorites like "Kiss" and "Blondes" with newer releases such as "Sad Girl Machine" and "Night Shade." Her performance was a masterclass in showmanship, as she effortlessly navigated between playing bass, singing, and engaging with the audience.

As someone who had witnessed her previous headline show, I can attest that Blu DeTiger's performance at Irving Plaza was just as exhilarating as it was two years ago at Webster Hall. Her undeniable talent and infectious energy left the crowd wanting more, solidifying her status as one of the most exciting acts in the music industry to watch today.
