CMAT Lights Up a Sold-Out Showbox With Energy and Charm
BY SOPHIA KINGSLEY
CMAT’s sold out show at The Showbox last night felt like pure joy from start to finish.
From the moment she stepped onstage, she had the crowd completely locked in, balancing her signature wit with genuinely stunning vocals. Her voice sounded even better live, powerful, emotional, and effortless in a way that made every song hit harder. Whether she was leaning into a stripped back moment or going full theatrical, she made it feel intentional and immersive.
One of the most memorable moments came before “I Don’t Really Care For You,” when she did a funny bit pretending to single out a few fans in the audience. She pointed at them one by one, making an exaggerated angry face as if she personally disliked them, and the crowd instantly burst into laughter. It was playful and perfectly on brand, with everyone smiling along.
What really stood out was her energy. She didn’t just perform, she commanded the room, blending humor, vulnerability, and chaotic charm in a way that kept everyone engaged. The crowd matched her perfectly, singing along and feeding off her energy all night. By the end, it felt less like a concert and more like a shared celebration.
